Follow the Money heeft afscheid genomen van de diensten van Cloudflare. Dat Amerikaanse bedrijf beschermt een kwart van het internet tegen cyberaanvallen. Het nadeel: het moet daarvoor toegang hebben tot ongelofelijk veel gevoelige gegevens. FTM stapt nu over op een Europees alternatief.

#BunnyNet did a good job this time... the site stayed up, ouf. @Michaël (@mirou) reported trouble loading the site initially, but then it worked.

Not sure how conclusive this first test is because the blog post's cover image didn't render on the fediverse... and I shared it from my GoToSocial account, which has 3k followers. I suppose the tide of requests wasn't super impactful.
The true test would be boosting that post from my Mastodon account... which has 13k followers 😟

Maksim LebedevI was planning to switch from #Cloudflare to #bunnynet: CF tried to gently persuade me to upgrade to a paid plan that I don’t need, and I’m also concerned about service outages. But I discovered that #bunnynet doesn’t support domain name transfers: some of my domains were purchased and are managed through Cloudflare Registrar. I’m not sure what to do next. 🤔
WOOT! #Bunnynet finally has #S3 early access! (I missed this notification was one month ago) Really looking forward to using it for my #Indiekit storage needs. Being a big fan of their CDN and #statichosting, I have high hopes.
