For those who like #BulletinBoardSystems I don't think I've advertised final-zone.net in a good long while here -- certainly not since it switched over to Citadel.

If you feel inclined to help a board revive itself, well, telnet is your friend. or ssh [email protected], no password.

Or just use the web interface.... but that's not as fun.

For those who like #BulletinBoardSystems , for the past few months I've been doing a soft reboot of my BBS, Final Zone, using citadel.

final-zone.net
normal telnet and ssh ports, ssh login [email protected], and of course, web and citadel text client access.

@SWOnews Research #BulletinBoardSystems (#BBSes) of the 1980s, before the bigger ones started to metastasize into interconnected #FidoNet nodes paralleling the nascent #Internet. They often did exactly this kind of neighborhood social networking because the economics of using the wired telephone system meant any given #BBS was 99-100% used by people for whom it was a local phone call.
