Stava giocando con una pistola che credeva scarica ma non si è accorto dell’unico colpo in canna: un 17enne è morto ieri sera a Lecce sparandosi accidentalmente alla testa. Secondo le prime ricostruzioni, il ragazzino di nazionalità bulgara viveva insieme al fratello di 28 anni e nella serata di ieri entrambi si trovavano a casa con un loro amico. A un certo punto è partito il colpo con una pistola regolarmente detenuta che, secondo quanto riportato dalla Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, era appartenuta a un uomo di 80 anni, ex compagno della madre defunta.
Il caricatore avrebbe dovuto essere vuoto ma nessuno dei tre giovani si è accorto dell’unico proiettile presente. Il 17enne – ferito alla testa dal colpo esploso – è morto nonostante i soccorsi del personale medico. L’appartamento dei due fratelli è stato messo sotto sequestro mentre della vicenda è stata informata la Procura presso il Tribunale per i minorenni. Gli inquirenti stanno intanto continuando le indagini per chiarire l’esatto sviluppo della dinamica. Tutte le piste restano aperte.

He was playing with a gun that he believed was unloaded, but he didn’t notice the single bullet in the chamber: a 17-year-old boy died last night in Lecce by shooting himself accidentally in the head. According to the initial reconstructions, the Bulgarian-born teenager lived with his 28-year-old brother, and on the evening of yesterday both were at home with a friend. At some point, a shot was fired from a legally held gun that, according to reports from Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, belonged to a 80-year-old man, the deceased mother’s former partner.

The magazine was supposed to be empty, but none of the three young men noticed the single bullet present. The 17-year-old – wounded in the head by the exploding bullet – died despite the efforts of medical personnel. The brothers’ apartment was placed under seizure while the public prosecutor’s office for minors was informed about the case. Investigators are currently continuing the investigation to clarify the exact development of the dynamics. All leads remain open.
