The Buk gained worldwide infamy in 2014 with the downing of #MalaysiaAirlines Flight #MH17.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of #Ukraine reports the destruction of #Russian air defence systems #Pantsir, #Buk, and #Imbir on the temporarily occupied territory of the #Zaporizhzhia region.

The following enemy systems were destroyed:

▪️ #9K317M_Buk_M3 surface-to-air missile system;
▪️ #9S19_Imbir radar system;
▪️ #Pantsir_S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun system.

#Ukrainian defenders successfully hunted enemy #Buk and #Tor air defence systems

A particularly spectacular fireworks display was shown by #Buk_M2, which detonated after meeting the #Ukrainian #Switchblade_600 kamikaze drone.

Another attack drone destroyed an enemy #UAZ "#Bukhanka" with a mobile group of occupiers.

The Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) concluded on May 12 that #Russia was responsible for downing flight #MH17 in July 2014.

Flight MH17 departed from Amsterdam #Schiphol Airport en-route to Kuala #Lumpur International Airport on July 17, 2014. Three hours into the flight, the #Boeing-777 was shot down by Russian proxy forces using a #Buk surface-to-air #missile above Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast.
