the Buffalo Treaty is a growing partnership of First Nations to return bison to Plains communities. The #BuffaloTreaty was created to #honour , #recognize & #revitalize the #relationship #Indigenous people have with the #buffalo . It was first signed in 2014 by four #FirstNations in #Canada & four Indigenous #tribes in the #UnitedStates on the #Blackfeet Reservation near Browning, #Montana .

#LethbridgeCollege notes that it was the first treaty signed among First Nations in over a century.
