Artistically splendid, and mechanically engaging, but over-relies on cliche in story and setting—and I IMPLORE writers to stop composing downer endings simply because they feel mature, especially if they don't also further the story's themes in an imperative way, and render the entire action of the plot pointless. Why was it thematically vital to traumatize the younger son so thoroughly?

The bit in #BrothersATaleOfTwoSons where you have to swim across a stretch of water without your brother who's just died.
The entire game at that point hinges on the two of you functioning as left and right control sticks; and suddenly one of them isn't there and the..very real fact that he's gone effects the game in a way I've not seen before or since; it crushed me.

That #BrothersATaleOfTwoSons remake came out?
The OG game was absolutely incredible when it came out (erm...11! years ago). Seems like the remake allows for co-op which... despite what you might think at first blush seems to go entirely against what the game is about and how it uses the players ability to control each brother simultaneously as a truly incredible narrative device later on.
What a waste.
