Hello Mastoknitters ~ Here is a short video on an interesting new yarn from #BrooklynTweed - an inventive "cable twist" blend of Rambiollet and something else. The colors!

Last weekend, I finished a scarf that I started in the spring! Yes, I am very slow at knitting.

Photo is of my partner wearing it just after coming off the needles, before weaving in ends and blocking.

It looks about the same after blocking, just feels a lot softer.

It uses a novel stitch pattern called "triple tuck stitch", which is similar to brioche (but I haven't done brioche before so idk). Super squishy!

This scarf uses a special Tuck-Stitch pattern (a cousin to Brioche Stitch) to create an extra squishy (and reversible) fabric – perfect for wrapping up in on cold winter days. Holding two strands of Loft together results in an aran-weight yarn that is incredibly light and offers beautiful stitch definition. The length of the scarf has been designed for versatile types of wear: wrap it twice for relaxed drape, or thrice for a layered cowl fit. If you prefer a traditional scarf, rather than the “infinity” (looped) variety, we have included instructions for you in the Variations section at the end of the pattern.

Thinking about #knitting this evening if I can get my act together. I've got a mitten I need to finish, a couple hats to start in time for Christmas gift giving, and a baby blanket to get going and send out by January. It'll look something like this version I made a few years back for a colleague (#BrooklynTweed pattern, #PurlSoho yarn), but in a more practical, washable white cotton.

Such a fun pattern to knit, once I’ve got it started.

@consumableJoy ohh yes #BrooklynTweed. Very, very lovely! Thank you!
