Best known for playing the role of Tom Robinson in "To Kill a Mockingbird" & for his role as the villainous "Crown" in the film version of "Porgy and Bess". In later years, he gained recognition among "Star Trek" fans for his portrayals of Fleet Admiral Cartwright in two of the "Star Trek" feature films and Joseph Sisko, father of Benjamin Sisko, in "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". He was also notable for his role as Hatcher in "Soylent Green".

@kcarr2015 True - but in that case, as in the case of #BrockPeters, the character is intended to be shown as racist - or at the very least, highly prejudiced. Vulcans are often shown as being hypocrites, espousing logic and other philosophies while frequently just as governed by emotions and pettiness as any human. One thing I think Enterprise did very well was flesh out the inconsistencies in Vulcan culture - both demonstrating the tremendous diversity of thought within Vulcan society and the fact that many Vulcans are just total dickheads 😂🖖
