There were probably a hundred or so of them throughout the reed beds around the reserve.

It depends a lot on what you are looking for and size and ages of your party - #peace and #quiet, #birdwatching, #angling, #pubs, #nightclubs?
Recommending places to #moor is difficult, particularly at the height of the season. If you want to eat at a pub/restaurant, most #riverside places will allow to to book a mooring, if they have any available, along with a table. If booking a mooring isn't available, then I'd arriving at the site between 15:00-16:00 even if you don't plan to eat till 20:00.
As for deciding where to visit, the #BroadsAuthority #Visitor page is at:
https://www.broads-authority.gov.uk/visiting
It includes a link to its own visitor magazine, "Broadcaster" at:
https://issuu.com/countrywidepublications1/docs/broadcaster_2024_issuu
(Currently last year's issue. I think it will be updated before Easter.)

When formed the #BroadsAuthority took on the #navigation duties of the Great Yarmouth Port and Haven Commissioners whose duties are to maintain navigation. It obtained the right to use the term "National Park" in order to promore #tourism in the area, but it is not a National Park forced to follow the Sandford Principle.
If the #CRT is obliged to follow the "SP" industrial archeology intests will be downgraded and some canals could be closed to navigation.

The tank is back but still not fitted. The new tank has metric fittings. All the ancillary pipework now has to be changed to match the fittings. However, launch day is still to be Monday, when the work on the gearbox can be tested. The BSS Examiner will also call and, hopefully, issue a pass certificate. We can then pay the #BroadsAuthority toll and legally move the boat to our mooring in Colitshall on Tuesday.
