Met a beautiful tree on a walk in a well-hidden arboretum on Sunday. We didn't look it up but thought maybe it's a lime.

Around Lizard Point I saw my first naturalised Tamarisk trees in three locations: sheltering the youth hostel, a short distance to the W along the coast path (https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/814771397), and above a large patch of Blackthorn scrub closer to the village.

My expectations of this small tree are entirely coloured by one or more images from Ladybird Books I first read nearly 60 years ago. 1/2.
