Pets:
Pets needing sheltering may be taken to the Potter League for Animals, located at 87 Oliphant Ln, Middletown, RI. The potter league closes at 5:00 PM daily. If emergency pet sheltering is needed call (401) 846-8276 during and after normal work hours.

1/ A little more light-hearted than my last toot …

I went out for a photo walk in the light (but wet) snowfall.

Both my camera and lens are weather-sealed, and seemed to hold up to the elements quite well.

This is Linden Place, which made an appearance in the film of The Great Gatsby that starred Robert Redford and Mia Farrow.

I might regret it sometime in September,

but I just removed two air conditioners and one double window fan from active duty in my apartment for the season.

I still have several fans set up in the apartmernt, including a little desktop #Dreo that keeps my Mac cool.

Also … just after 1:00 pm Sunday, twenty-six years ago today (three and a half days after I set out from #BristolRI)

I arrived at #BlackRockCity for #BurningMan ’99.

Ignore the naysayers … it was an incredible experience.

Today I went out on my first #photo ride with the new #camera – my black #Fujifilm X-T5.

I’m using it in mostly manual mode … manual focus, and manual aperture.

There’s a lot to wade through in the settings, and while I know there will be times when I want to use auto focus, for the time being I’m happier getting used to using the camera the way I use my old #Nikon #F2as film camera.

All photos were taken in my local neighborhood of #Bristol, RI.
