For this week's #MusicWomenWednesday, 2023 EP 'Feed the Wanting' by Brighton, UK's YUMI AND THE WEATHER. This has a bombastic sound right away, maybe Breeders meets Linda Ronstadt? There's psych country in there, too- the second track has Grace Slick or Stevie Nicks vibes. Hints of Elastica, That Dog, the Who, Foo Fighters later. (Thanks to @wendigo for help with analysis!) This is a super catchy, dynamic, interesting EP.

Was actually able to grab a couple things for #BandcampFriday today. Wanted to support some small artists- purchases today go towards helping with the California wildfires, too.

First, I grabbed the WHOLE (small) discography of a killer band I just discovered-- Ohio antifascist punks NO HOLDS BARRED. ALL their stuff is great. This is the EP that hooked me. Check their other stuff- love the other album covers.
