Harris County attorney condemns KP George’s attempts to ‘sideline’ Fort Bend County attorney

Christian Menefee, a Democrat in neighboring Harris County, says the Republican county judge in Fort Bend is trying to undermine the authority of Fort Bend County Attorney Bridgette Smith-Lawson, a Democrat, after attempts by George to hire outside legal counsel for commissioners as they undertake mid-decade redistricting.
