I was supposed to rest yesterday. The #Wellington weather had other plans and blew over a portion of our fence. And low, there was demolition and a big van load of heavy detritus (fence, vines and other waste) taken to the local tip (dump).

Today I am stiff and tired. 36th day without a proper day off.

Two more beers to package. Not much more and can then shift into putting beers into tanks rather than taking them out.

33 Days of unbroken working. 19 of those days being on my own while my lead brewer is off work with an (non-work related) injury which will likely see him away for another 2 months.

The final base beer (a 10% Imperial Stout that is infused with lots of cacao nibs) is in the brite beer tank and awaiting being divided across two tanks tomorrow.

One will be additionally flavoured with orange essence to become #NavelGazer Chocolate Orange Imperial Stout and the other will receive raspberry and coffee to become #BlackRuby Raspberry, Chocolate and Coffee Imperial Stout.

I’m angling to take Sunday off. Fingers crossed. I’m quite tired.

32 days on without a break and the fatigue is catching up. I am taking a nap at work on my camping mat while a tank washes.

This is the way it has been every October for the past 9 years. The holiday retail scene as a small brewery is leaving much to be desired.

I’m sure I’ll feel better about things after next week when all the Advent Calendar beers will be packaged.
