I took this picture of a brent goose in 2007 on Hallig Hooge. For me, this picture captures the essence of the Wadden Sea better than many postcard images. Its simplicity, with just a bird and the saltmarsh vegetation, always takes me to the coast and I can almost smell the sea in the air.
