@gnoll110 Yeah. This was obvious back then for anyone who has worked on Government contracts. But I wouldn't put all the blame on journos.

Australia's media landscape is a sad, unhealthy monoculture with few left that are easily drowned out.

Successive governments (of both majors) have eroded whistleblower protection and other safeguards.

It's a sad state of affairs and more reason we need independent, solid media and a strong ABC!
