The robot wars have really begun now, aka clanker wars, rise of the new luddites, etc. Setting fire to Waymos, destruction of Flock or ULEZ cameras, abandoning Ring, and wider, degoogling, digital detoxing, unplugging the classroom are all symptoms of the robot wars. LLM boosters will not engage with the ethical problems, other than to mention that there are local machine LLMs that eschew most of them. This is of course disingenuous because that's not what they use or are even talking about. When pressed on environmental, cultural and societal destruction, they will either go silent or expose their fascistic leanings.
I haven't heard a good argument that justifies using them, even casually.
AI is a metric. Metrics get managers promoted.
