AGI - Clamoroso allo Stadium, dove il Verona già retrocesso ferma sull'1-1 la Juventus. La sblocca Bowie per gli ospiti nel primo tempo, mentre nella ripresa arriva il pari di Vlahovic su punizione. La squadra di Spalletti fallisce l'aggancio al Milan, sconfitto dal Sassuolo nel pomeriggio, e ora deve anche guardarsi le spalle. C'è solo la Juventus in campo in avvio di gara. Gli uomini di Spalletti confezionano un'occasione dietro l'altra, tra cui una traversa di Bremer su cross di Kalulu poco dopo la metà della prima frazione.
Il fortino di un Verona senza più motivazioni, però, resiste. Alla fine, sono gli scaligeri a passare in vantaggio al 34' con la prima vera occasione ospite della gara. Erroraccio di Bremer sulla destra, Bradaric ne approfitta per servire Bowie, che riceve in area e batte Di Gregorio sul primo palo. Si va all'intervallo sul risultato di 0-1. Spalletti decide che è il momento di giocarsi la carta Vlahovic, al rientro dopo la lunga assenza per infortunio.
I bianconeri rientrano in campo e ricominciano subito il loro assalto nella metà campo avversaria. David e Mckennie si procurano due palle gol, ma a pareggiarla dopo circa un quarto d'ora dall'inizio della ripresa è il nuovo ingresso nei bianconeri. Punizione per la Juventus, sulla sfera si presenta Vlahovic, che approfitta del passetto verso al centro di Montipò per calciare sul palo difeso dal portiere del Verona. Montipò si riscatta subito dopo, evitando il sorpasso della Juventus con un doppio miracolo nel giro di pochi secondi, entrambe le volte su Conceicao, servito in due occasioni ravvicinate da Cambiaso.
C'è solo la Juve fino al triplice fischio, ma il fortino del Verona anche se scricchiola continua a reggere alle bordate bianconere. In pieno recupero, il neo entrato Zhegrova centra il secondo legno della gara. Finisce 1-1, per la Juventus un passo falso nella corsa alla Champions. Il Milan rimane terzo, e ora la Roma può avvicinarsi ai bianconeri.

Bowie opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half, while Vlahovic equalized with a penalty in the second half. Spalletti’s team failed to close the gap with Milan, defeated by Sassuolo in the afternoon, and now must also look over their shoulders. There was only Juventus on the pitch at the start of the game. Spalletti’s men created chance after chance, including a Bremer header off a Kalulu cross shortly after the midpoint of the first half.
The fortress of a Verona without more motivation, however, resisted. In the end, it was the Scaligeri who took the lead at the 34th minute with the host’s first real opportunity. In the dying minutes, the newly-introduced Zhegrova hit the second post of the match. It ended 1-1, for Juventus a missed step in the race for the Champions League. Milan remains third, and now Roma can close in on the Bianconeri.
