My first sunrise on the hill in nearly two months. The deep snow kept me from both my usual parking spot and from hiking. I did make a couple of snow treks up the hill, but I did not have the proper gear for the conditions. If one looks closely at the first photo one can see a waning crescent moon.

Not bad for a morning when the forecast on my weather app said snow for 6am and 7am. For what it's worth, it has been a pretty gray, cloudy morning here, but no flakes yet. The last picture is from the trail as I started back down. I turned to look back and the sun was shining through the trees and the sky still had quite a bit of color.

My first time making it up the hill for sunrise this year. The sky was pretty clear when I left my house this morning, with a last quarter moon and some stars visible through some wisps of cloud. However, clouds were rolling in quickly from the southwest, enough so that the sun was not visible by the time of actual sunrise. These shots are all more east and north of the point of sunrise, as there was still some color and clear skies in those directions.
