Undead ZeratulWe fought back against the darkness, overcame the anomaly at the lake House, and solved the mystery plaguing this small town, with time to spare for some bonus boomy shoot action for today's VOD, all in a days work.
For our extra time, we spent it playing some Hideous Destructor with a small mapset that reimagines the vanilla maps as though they were made with the same design philosophies as Duke Nukem. It's a shame the project seems to have died out, it's such a well made set of maps!

Today we ended up finishing Little Hope earlier than expected, giving us quite a bit of time left in our Spooky Sunday Stream, so we decided to try a few quick horror-themed Doom mapsets, including The Thing You Can't Defeat, Atmosfear (running HDest), and finally ending with a few maps from Doom The Dark World (also with HDest)
The Thing You Can't Defeat was a neat walking simulator mapset through neat mapping tricks that resulted quite the spooky experience. It wasn't exactly MyHouse.wad, but it didn't need to be, it was a fun experience for what it provided.
Atmosfear was a single map set in a haunted house that lent itself quite well to Hideous Destructor's more slow paced vibe, and Doom The Dark World was a nice thematic remap of the vanilla Doom II game, set in hell rather than the usual tech base affair. I really should return to that set someday...
