Just saw this on the Book of Faces and it hits home.

The meme is correct in that as we age, we care less about being cool, or basically what anyone else thinks of us. Once you hit retirement, feel free to dress as you please, wear your hair or beard long, pierce assorted parts of your body, get a tattoo on your forehead.

Quite possibly, It is only when you stop worrying about being cool that you actually become cool.
