They're mostly happy tears but holy shit did the second half of @MattFnWallace's #SavageCrowns make me bawl like a baby. And the man could teach a master class in wrapping up a trilogy. Chef's Kiss.
This is very niche but someone out there might get it. Just about choked laughing at the idea that the smoke-stained old tapestry in Leonard Bailey's house (Dorothy Dunnett's Lymond Chronicles) could be heirloom porn from the hand of Wat the Weaver (Howard of Warwick's Brother Hermitage series).
I finished another book and burped up some words about it over at Kate of Mind: Mark Lawrence's THE BOOK THAT WOULDN'T BURN is my favorite kind of novel, one that demands immediate re-reading after a revelation near the ending changes my whole understanding of one or more characters!
