Have discovered in the last few #bookman #ROM dumps that indeed there are different revisions of the same content out there for cartridges which have the same model code.
I always knew that it was possible but now that I've found at least 3 different title with dump containing separate revisions:
- DBE-2020: v1.0, v1.1
- NIV-2004: v1.0, v1.1
- BQF-2025: v1.0 (forked into BFS-2024), v1.2
The serial modules came today and I managed to get Bookman Desktop Manager (BDM) to use a native serial port through Wine! Of course I immediately used my SerialSpy tool to capture the entire flow of sending the included WGM-2037 Word Games ROM from BDM to a real device, including the control byte sequences before and after the ROM content.
