What makes a "Bond girl"? Is it enough that they are female and in a Bond film?

To me, a "Bond Girl" was simply the one he ended up with, usually shagging at the end and getting caught by MI6.

My first wife swore blind that Madonna was a "Bond Girl" because she had 5 minutes of screen time. I dispute this.

Today I learned that there is a spinoff #BondFilm called Operation Kid Brother (1967) (AKA Operation 007 and O.K. Connery). It stars #SeanConnery's brother Neil as James Bond's brother.

Never Say Never Again (1983), Sean Connery's disappointing return to the role. A remake of Thunderball, it has its moments and it’s not terrible but it’s no more than a very average spy thriller and you expect a lot more from a Bond movie.
