Andi ChorleyBo Diddley is the debut album by American rock and roll musician Bo Diddley. It collects several of his most influential and enduring songs, which were released as singles between 1955 and 1958. Chess Records issued the album in 1958. In 2012, it was ranked number 216 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list alongside his second album, Go Bo Diddley (1959).
In his retrospective review for the AllMusic website, Matthew Greenwald gave Bo Diddley five out of five stars and recommended it as one of the "few" essential albums for listeners who want to "play rock & roll, real rock & roll". Bo Diddley - Bo Diddley - A Celebration of Blues and Soul
BarkyI have plenty of latter-day #BoDiddley songs in my collection (1996โs ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ๐ด๐ต ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ is one of my favorites), but I never sat down to listen to his earliest work. His first two albums, ๐๐ผ ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐น๐ฒ๐ and ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐น๐ฒ๐, are jointly listed on the Rolling Stone Top 500 Albums list at #216, and after a few listens, I am convinced this guy co-invented rock and roll. #music (cont)
