#MagpieGames has a #BundleOfHolding for almost all their games: https://bundleofholding.com/presents/MagpieMega

#AvatarRPG #MasksRPG & #RootRPG are likely the big draws, but it also includes my real favorites here: #BluebeardsBride and #UndyingRPG - those are both _amazing_ and are part of the $20 basic tier.

$40 for everything - well worth it for anyone curious about either Magpie games or #PoweredByTheApocalypse in general.

Magpie Games Megabundle

Adventurer! This new Magpie Games Apocalypse Megabundle presents Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game, Root: The Roleplaying Game, Masks: A New Generation, Cartel, and many other tabletop roleplaying games from Magpie Games that are all Powered by the Apocalypse rules system. Easy to learn and fast-playing, with no character classes, levels, or hit points, the story-forward PbtA makes every character unique and every 2d6 die roll important. The games in this new Megabundle use the Apocalypse Engine to let you tell stories of Aang, Korra, and the Four Nations – woodland adventure and mischief – young superheroic sidekicks finding their way – dark carnival fantasy, 1950s suburban paranoia, fairy-tale horror, scandal-packed telenovelas, and savage Mexican narcofiction.

Esoteric Ebb’s tabletop roots travel deeper than the big ampersand

The voices in a character’s head have fascinated designers for decades.

Rascal News

It feels very British that there is a mystery that could be solved by opening a door and talking to someone, but that simply is not done.

Especially a secret that all the servants seem to know except one.

#ScribesAndMakers Nov. 21 - Do you ever change what you're wearing to do your creative work?

Not when I write, but I have semi-dressed for the part when I go to #ttrpg events as a GM. Not cosplay or anything that would turn heads (I truly admire GMs who do that but I don't have the inclination), but I like to dress for the atmosphere when I can. For a #BluebeardsBride game set in late 19th century Korea, for instance, I dressed in a white blouse and ankle-length pleated skirt. Maybe the next time I run Thirsty Sword Lesbians I'll wear ankle boots, a lacy skirt, and mesh top--and get myself a prop dagger? xD

#ScribesAndMakers Jul. 1 — What do you want to work on this month?

Working on any creative project at all will be a blessing with how things have been lately, but if the stars align I want to get more headway on a short piece of #historicalFiction I've been noodling with, start a write-up about the Joseon-era novel #BangHallimJeon about the asexual marriage of a transmasc-coded female husband and their fiercely independent (political?) lesbian wife that I promised @heatherrosejones (I haven't forgotten!!), and start talking marketing plans for the feminist horror #ttrpg #BluebeardsBride in Korea. Plus maybe rework a couple of stories that have been languishing on my hard drive to send them off for submission? And make an actual action plan for moving forward with research and rewrites on the big WIP? And restart art practice? So much to do! >_<

What, you said what I WANT to work on. I always want to work on All The Things. Whether I will is another question :P

I was at an all-women's overnight #ttrpg retreat over the weekend and it was truly a magical experience. There's a special exuberance between women, many of us neurodivergent/queer presenting/nonconforming, when we are freed of the social expectation to compress ourselves into quiet, cheerful compliance. We were unapologetically silly, unfashionably passionate, we got LOUD and NOISY, and we took up space without a second thought. We painted to the outer lines of ourselves and beyond over our shared love of stories that spark up in the moment when souls collide. I ran a #BluebeardsBride game for the first part of the event and played in a #MouseGuard game for the second, and both went wonderfully!

I had many lovely hours discussing and playing some wonderful games in the last weeks. I should really find the time to write about them here.

Got my pdf of #OutgunnedRPG from the Kickstarter, so now I can plan out if it fits the pulp game setting I have been wanting to return to for a while.

Also halfway through #BluebeardsBride for the #pbta reading group.

Also re-reading #TheWatchRPG to see if I can adapt it to fit a story inspired by "House of Open Wounds" by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

Also need to re-read #RevenantSocietyRPG before I run it for the first time in a couple of weeks.

Busy, busy... #ttrpg

05 - RPG with great writing?

#GoodSociety might be the best-explained and most well-structured game I have ever read (especially at that length). Its great layout add to that.

#OurHaunt is best at not just explaining rules but also at demonstrating play culture. It just makes you feel accepted and supported all-around!

#BluebeardsBride is excellent at creating the desired vibe of the game and the GM role. So wonderfully creepily-complicit-making!

There’s an _awesome_ Humble Bundle up offering the #AvatarRPG, #RootRPG, #BluebeardsBride, and #Undying (all great games, _particularly_ the last two) for $25. I think they might have _almost_ all the other Magpie Games releases, too.

Really great stuff.
