This past weekend I was at #BlueTeamCon2023 ... It was my first ever con even though I've been in IT for 15+ years. From dinner with a group found through discord on Friday night to the ending ceremonies Sunday afternoon it was a great time. I learned a lot, especially about how much I still don't know about the various aspects of cyber security. Thank you to the board, the volunteers, the speakers, and the attendees that made this such an amazing experience. An extra thank you to the couple people I recently met that pushed me to attend.

I had a great time at Blue Team Con this past weekend! I got to meet some amazing people, see some great talks, finished in the top 10 for the CTF, and I even gave an "unconference" talk about bourbon.

I will certainly be adding this conference to my annual schedule!

Shoutout to the @BlueTeamCon organizers. I really enjoyed my first experience. It was a happy coincidence that I discovered this event. It reconnected me with defensive security and gave me new insight. I'll be recording the recap podcast tonight or tomorrow. It will be broadcast on @polysecure on September 5.
