#DavidBrooks makes noise about how many people are moving to #redstates from #bluestates. He is foolish to assume that those people will vote #Republican, especially after experiencing the lack of #services, the horrendous #education, and the erosion of #civilrights happening in red states. #Arizona was reliably red, and then millions of people moved there. It has since passed through purple to blue.

#Minnesota, & other #BlueStates, should also enact new laws that make #federal #obstruction harder. The #AlexPretti case shows that #ICE officials were willing to ignore a #state-court #warrant. Perhaps anticipating that, Minnesota officials went to federal court on Saturday, potentially after the scene of Pretti’s #shooting had been compromised, & obtained a temporary restraining order about #evidence preservation. The legal basis for such orders, however, may be fragile.

If it isn't clear yet, here goes:

The purpose of #ICE is to antagonize the population to the point were that population will react. This will then give #Trump a pretense to invoke the #InsurrectionAct. Basically, he's prodding the People. This is happening in #Minnesota and it's only January. His intent is to have the #army present in as many if not all #BlueStates come the midterms.

I'm not saying he's going to succeed.

In total, 315 grants were terminated in October, ending support for 223 projects worth approximately $7.5 billion…All the awardees, except for one, were based in states where Donald Trump lost the majority vote to Kamala Harris in 2024.

#Arizona, #NewMexico, and #Texas share #borders with #Mexico. Understandably, these states receive the highest number of supposéd "#IllegalImmigrants" coming from Central and South America. Yet, interestingly, we've seen no surge of #ICE agents there. Might this be because all three states just happen to allow "#OpenCarry", hmm?

#Trump isn't after illegal immigrants. Trump is out to create chaos in #BlueStates and Blue Cities. Period.

Judge halts Trump administration block on federal money for 5 states

A judge has ruled that President Donald Trump’s administration cannot block child care and other federal social service money from flowing to five states for now. The administration said Tuesday it would not release money for three programs aimed at helping needy children and their families in the Democratic-led states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and New York. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said there was reason to believe there was fraud in those places, though it did not cite any evidence. Under the ruling on Friday, the new requirements are on hold until further court action.
