Arte Luise.

My favourite hotel in #Berlin is the Arte Luise Kunsthotel. I used to visit Berlin every one or two months and often stayed here. Each room has been decorated by a different artist, and every room is completely unique.

For today’s #WindowFriday, I’m digging this photo out of the archives - it will be exactly eight years old tomorrow. The view of the street is part of the #artwork. And please excuse the unmade bed.

It has been six years since I last attended this conference in Copenhagen. I arrived a day early so that I could explore the city, and I recall being on my feet the entire day. This is one of the last photos I took that day. I took it after waiting nearly 30 minutes to ensure that there were no people with mobile phones in the picture of the mermaid.

Since I didn't get around to posting yesterday, there are two pictures today. That works out well, because one of my absolute favourite pictures fits perfectly with today's #PhotoSuggestion: something in #orange and #blue. I had rented an Airbnb in the #Bredero high-rise in #Hannover. I had seen this offer by chance and then waited for a suitable opportunity. This turned out to be a business trip that I had to start early before 6:00 a.m. on the first train. I was able to take this picture at the blue hour from the 21st floor.
