Some Blue Grosbeaks (Passerina caerulea) visited a couple springs ago, and I do hope they return sometime. I live right at the edge of their breeding and migration zones—a threshold where presence is never guaranteed, but always possible.

Chestnut Accents in Blue

Blue grosbeaks (Passerina caerulea) are another species I'm hoping to see again this year, but so far nada.

He and his cinnamon-colored mate often raise two broods of nestlings in a single breeding season.
