Granted Musk was flattered into thinking he could sell Dogecoin to the punters & then have them use that to buy #BlueCheckMarks. He legit thought he’d make money & the investors didn’t care as long as Dem online grassroots infrastructure was destroyed. I’m so glad I left & got #Ratified here in the #Fediverse. So, they're giving the checks to people who don't want it and won't let them hide it. Sounds like they're trying to make the Blue Check a positive thing in the eyes of the public, not a stain like it is now.

@kingbeauregard @opalium I have screen shots of Musk’s big plans for #Twitter. He had people working to sell Dogecoins to the GOP punters & use them to buy #BlueCheckMarks. Then Bitcoin crashed. He def had plans to make Twitter Nazi friendly but thought he could make $. His Saudi backers (aligned w/ Putin’s goals) just want it destroyed as a place for Dems to organize.They used his colossal ego to manipulate him into the deal. Personally I prefer my Mastodon #BlueCheckRat
