What the heck is wrong with whoever got tasked with clearing these Blue Bikes stations? 😠
I called Blue Bikes a couple of times and they said they'd send someone out, but of course they didn't.
I hope they get fined, at least. Three different stations were like this.
Join the Allston Brighton Health Collaborative, City of Boston, and Bluebikes for a 3.5-mile Bluebikes-only community bike ride on Saturday, July 19 at 11:00am. The route and pace are beginner friendly, particularly for folks new to biking and/or new to Bluebike-ing. We'll spend a good amount of time in the beginning going over how to use the Bluebikes and get you comfortable using them in safe environment before venturing out to the neighborhood. We will meet at the Herter Park Bluebikes station. Free Bluebikes coupons will be provided. The ride is expected to take around one hour and will end at Herter Park. Ride for Our Republic is a recurring pro-democracy bike ride on the last Saturday of the month. In the spirit of Paul Revere and on the 250th anniversary of the first American Revolution, we cycle together to sound the alarm of tyranny and fight for our democracy. With the news that United States bombed Iran, we need revolutionary love, joyful resistance, solidarity, people power, and large, visible protests in the streets! Our next recurring last Saturday of the month Boston #Ride4Republic is Sat. June 28th at 10am. We bike on a combination of bike paths and roads for a total of 12.7 miles, but you can join or end your ride at the waypoints where we network and rally. We will share a picnic lunch at the end of the ride. This ride we dedicate to joyful resistance! Bring your friends, co-workers, family, and neighbors to enjoy our resistance party on wheels. On Saturday we will meet at Paul Revere Park in Boston at 10am rain or shine. Waypoints: 7 Hills Park Davis Square in Somerville at 10:45-11am Uncle Sam Park in Arlington Center at 11:30-11:45am. Ending Point: Minuteman Bikeway, Lexington Center, where we will eat a picnic lunch together. Boston-Davis Sq 3.9 miles + Davis Sq-Arlington Center 3.8 miles + Arlington Center-Lexington Center 5 miles Dress in bright colors or neon, make big black lettered pro-democracy signs on vest, shirt, cape, bag, bike frame, or bike basket, carry a American, Pride, or No Kings flags, and/or bring music speaker or decorations (disco ball, cow bell). Don't forget water, snacks, packed lunch, sunscreen, bike lock, and other ride supplies. Yours in Solidarity and Joyful Resistance!
