Projects always take longer than you hope. This photo, beginning the assembly of the main panels, is from two years ago.

Yesterday I had a meeting about publishing a book about the process and the project.

Not long now before I have real news for you, I hope!

In the spirit of celebrating milestones, a stitched #Brockis, the next animal in my vignettes for the #VisionOfPlacidus, inspired by Elizabeth Goudge's book The Herb Of Grace, and her inspiration in turn, Pisanello's Vision Of St Eustace.

A companion for the Hawk In A Clear Blue Sky.

I just saw something about learning to celebrate even the small milestones, which is definitely worth doing.

So, to make a start - here is a Hawk In A Clear Blue Sky. He's only small, but he's the first stitching I've done for my next epic embroidery, a large panel inspired by Elizabeth Goudge's book The Herb Of Grace, and her inspiration in turn, Pisanello's Vision Of St Eustace.
