@markwyner @oisin I love these guys! A friend showed me them on a late night youtube trawl one time, and we found out they were gonna tour the UK. Bought tickets that night and went to see them in Bristol a few months later - absolutely best spur of the moment purchase ever. Amazing gig. Have their album Rakshak. As well as great music they're super nice, donated proceeds from a single to an animal shelter.
Bloodywood is a band from New Delhi. They blend metal with traditional Indian folk instruments. It sounds hokey, but it’s done brilliantly.
This video for “Tadka” is badass. It’s a song about cooking, family, and respect for women/elders. It’s everything you wouldn’t expect from a metal song.
But it slays. If you love metal, get ready to move your body.
