#OTD in 1936: #Philadelphia #Mafia boss John #Avena and associate Martin Feldstein were machine gunned from a passing car near the intersection of Washington and East Passyunk avenues. The location was within the short stretch of #Passyunk known as the #BloodyAngle. Avena and Feldstein died of their wounds.
