Since it's likely the last day with nice weather for this week, I went for an afternoon walk in #Bloeidaal and spotted this blue tit eating from a willow flower and covered in pollen.

When I was cycling towards #Bloeidaal this morning I spotted this White #Stork in the beautiful golden hour sunlight.
Standing atop a high light pole, looking out over, well, the industrial area instead of a natural setting.

These two Eurasian Coots were going at each other this morning in #Bloeidaal. Lots of splashing and squeaking. Eventually the fight broke up and one had to retreat.

Today I managed to photograph the elusive #Waterrail a bird that's often heard and not seen outside of the reeds.

Managed to photograph a few #kingfishers yesterday at #Bloeidaal, and even got lucky with a sharp in-flight shot!

Creek rivalry between a gray #heron and a great #egret this morning in #Bloeidaal!
With temperatures of -7°C areas to fish become sparse.
When the egret caught a small fish, the heron dive-bombed and chased it off.
