Another metal journey is over and how epic was that?
There were a few surprises, especially the first 3-4 albums. I really liked the rough thrashy beginnings. I didn't like the operaesque and theatrical albums so much although I still appreciate what they did and I would never call them bad.
Overall this was fun but also a lot to digest.
It felt like eating Wiener Schnitzel and Sacher Cake with cream every day for every meal. It's good, but now I really need something dusty to bite into. I'm thinking Motörhead.

Yeah The God Machine was much more to my taste.
It's a great album similar to "At the Edge of Time" and "A Twist in the Myth".

"Hey, where do these nice riffs come from all of a sudden" is what I thought while listing to Legacy of the Dark Lands only to realize that actually Blind Guardian's last album on my jounrey "The God Machine" was already playing.
Damnation is one fine song that made it into my "best of" playlist.

Alright, Blind Guardian Metaljourney final day here we come!
Only 2 albums are left starting with the 2019 release "Legacy of the Dark Lands" which is an orchestral piece. Hansi Kürsch is the only member of the band who performed at the album so... is this really part of the Blind Guardian discography? You tell me.

On "Beyond the Red Mirror" Blind Guardian up their opera game again.
This was a lot to listen to, a lot to digest. Standouts were song linked, Miracle Machine and the Grand Parade because they have some serious Queen harmonies.
Other than that... it's just a lot.
