Monthly trip to Toppings - I've been replacing lost copies of Discworld books to make sure I have a complete collection, this month was Night Watch. Right next to the fantasy section they have their Blind Date books and these two named my attention tonight. One of the cool things in the bookstore was the “Blind date with a book” section… quite frankly, I think this is the best way to select a book. You only get a few general points about the book on the outside. You don’t know anything else and can’t open it, read the author’s bio, etc. even the price is unknown until you’re at the cashier. Of course, I had the go with “Canadian philosophical”, lol. I must admit, I was expecting William Gibson, but was pleasantly surprised.
