Dall’Inter all’Atletico Madrid, non cambia il risultato e non cambiano gli alibi. Il Barcellona è di nuovo fuori dalla Champions League da favorita e nuovamente se la prende con l’arbitraggio. Un anno fa denunciavano un presunto fallo di Denzel Dumfries sul gol decisivo di Acerbi. Oggi invece i blaugrana se la prendono per l’espulsione di Eric García al 79esimo minuto della gara di ritorno, vinta con il punteggio di 1 a 2, non sufficiente a ribaltare lo 0 a 2 dell’andata, quando il match era stato condizionato dal rosso di Pau Cubarsí nel primo tempo.
Insomma, il Barcellona si è preso due rossi diretti in due match. Ma aveva anche presentato un reclamo alla UEFA per un possibile rigore a suo favore nella gara d’andata. Anche l’allenatore del Barcellona, Hansi Flick, si è lamentato dopo la partita d’andata, ma dopo il ritorno ha dichiarato che non avrebbe parlato degli arbitri.
