The Voice to Parliament debate has been co-opted into a racism litmus test by mainstream media - No for "racist", Yes for "not racist". However, First Nations activists have been protesting and expressing their concerns on the covert, systemic racism of the Yes campaign; from the parallels to other well-meaning but harmful assimilation tactics throughout Australia's colonial history to the white guilt, saviourism and paternalism of prescribing a powerless Voice as the best/only choice for Indigneous people.
