The Black-tailed Godwit is a large, slender wading bird with long legs and a straight beak.

The #BlacktailedGodwit is a true Dutch meadow bird and is found in large numbers in the peat meadows. After its winter migration, a few always come to rest and forage in my #backyard, the #Eendrachtspolder, before heading into the meadows to breed.

Elk voorjaar komen er Grutto's naar mijn #achtertuin om uit te rusten en te foerageren.

Das Grasbüschel zitterte und für einen Moment kam dieses winzige #Uferschnepfe #Küken ans Licht. Nach ein paar Sekunden verschwand es wieder im sicheren, hohen Kraut.

Zum ersten Mal eine Uferschnepfe bewusst fotografiert. Heißt, sie hat sich mit Gesang geoutet, daher wusste ich schon vor dem Foto, dass es eine ist.

Sie ist sogar telepathisch begabt. 😉 Sie guckte ganz wie ich mich fühlte und hielt so lange still, dass ich manuelle Workarounds um den neuen Wackelkontakt an meinem Objektiv austesten konnte.
