In 2026, Blackboard one of the common Learning Management Systems (LMS) is forcing everyone to upgrade to "Blackboard Ultra" an upgraded version.

One of the things this means is that we'll have AI features now as a teacher. You can have AI create your rubrics and create test questions and suggest content.

Blackboard Ultra Microlearning Library

Blackboard Ultra is a modern platform that has the power to transform the student online learning experience. Its responsive interface is designed to function on all devices, including mobile. The following library of microlearning videos has been created by the Cardiff Learning & Teaching Academy as a quick and easy way to develop your understanding of Blackboard Ultra.

Did I mention that #BlackboardUltra is a step backwards? Students no longer can submit written answers by uploading image files for exams. This makes grading physics exams neigh impossible.
