On #ThisDayInHistory in 1969, an #FBI stooge drugged 21-year-old #BlackPantherParty organizer #FredHampton, then Chicago police killed him and #MarkClark by firing 90+ bullets into an apartment, because #BPP dared to advocate justice, mutual aid, & self-defence against tyranny.
"#Pig" has been used to refer to #police in Britain since the 19th c., but it only spread in the US during the 1960s. The #BlackPower movement was key to that, and on #ThisDayInHistory in 1969 the #BlackPantherParty newspaper controversially used a drawing of pigs being killed.

I think it's a #BlackPantherParty critique of #Capitalism as a system to allocate tasks & resources

I believe if any other model had failed so Spectacularly to fulfill its ostensible purpose, it would've been discarded centuries ago

But capitalism & #Racism are conjoined twins. When the needs of the many conflict w the desire of Kapital, the 1% calls #WhiteSupremacy up to bat. Works every f'in time

Its revolutionary agenda, and the fact that its members, all U.S. citizens, were armed, prompted FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover to refer to it as as "the greatest threat to the internal security of the United States."
