Such an encouraging day. Hundreds of smiling adults and children, perhaps more, riding their bikes to a local street fair, using a recently completed segregated cycle path. Amongst the bikes making the trip were two penny farthings.

Local cycling clubs and bike shops supported the event with marshalling, signage and mechanical support. Thank you to

• Cheltenham and County Cycling Club
• Cheltenham Town Wheelers
• Williams Cycles
• Cyclists Fighting Cancer
• Gloucester Bike Project

I hope I've not missed anyone.

The teddy bears parachuting from the church are very entertaining, in case you need a reason to get out and use the new cycle path to visit the street fair.

Christening the New Cheltenham to Bishops Cleeve Cycle Path

Join 1000÷ riders of all ages and abilities as we celebrate our brand-new cycle spine!

Whether you're the youngest, the oldest, or the best dressed—we want to see you there.

• START: From 11:30 - 13:30 at Pittville Park (next to the Prince of Wales Stadium).
• Free bike safety checks by The Charity Bike Shop.
• Watch Cheltenham Town Wheelers on their off-road course.

• THE ROUTE: A scenic ride across the Park, Central Cross Cafe, the Lake, the Aviary, the Racecourse, the Steam Railway and the BMX Pump Track.
• Collect stamps along the way to prove you rode the route!
• Look out for Gerry McGarr on his Penny Farthing!
• FINISH: 12:00 - 15:00 at Tithe Barn Car Park & Bishops Cleeve Street Fair.
• Free bike minor repairs courtesy of Williams Cycles

On Sunday 14th June, we're hoping to get 1,000 people or more using the brilliant new cycle path between Cheltenham and Bishop's Cleeve. It's a family friendly way to come to the Bishop's Cleeve Street Fair.

Free bike safety checks at the start and free minor repairs at the end, just in case you need them.

Skipped the border for some #NonLeagueFootball action at #BishopsCleeve (vs Exmouth) in the Southern League Div One North. Lovely club, very welcoming, great chips & curry sauce, and some stunning skies.
