But the Duke #Misread the #Letter.
He thought the #Note was from the #BishopOfLondon (not Loudon) regarding his #Breeches or #Pants - not his Beeches.

The Duke wrote back:
"My servant will show you SO many pairs of breeches, but WHY you wish to inspect those I wore at Waterloo is quite beyond [my] comprehension."
