I am no longer a student at #ANU but if I was I would be walking this #petition on #campus soliciting signatures right now…

In support of our petition, we observe that: • ANU Council has the entire control and management of the University and is required to act in all matters concerning the ANU in the way it thinks will best promote the interests of the ANU; • Staff, students and members of the community have reasonable and genuinely held concerns about the direction of our national university. Many of these concerns relate to the delivery of Renew ANU, which has been destructive and harmful to staff, students...
From the ABC:
“We know that these changes haven't been easy for many in our community, but they are necessary. The path we're on ensures that the ANU can continue to deliver its obligations far into the future." (Prof Bell. ANU Council)
Continue to deliver what exactly? It’s a bit hard to tell with Faculties and Courses in the skip bins!
Dog, I’m getting so upset with #ANU #Council #Bishop and #Bell

The Australian National University responds to concerns raised by Australia's higher education regulator after it demanded the university defend the conduct of its council members, while admitting there's "much work to do".
Say what you will, but active opposition to #ANU #management and coverage in MSM and Social Media must have had an effect on the hatchet job:
“ACT Secretary of the National Tertiary Education Union Lachlan Clohesy has described the university's announcement that it will stop forced job cuts as "vindication".
"Today's announcement isn't just business as usual. It's clearly come about because of the campaigning … of ANU staff, students and the broader community," Dr Clohesy said. He said while stopping forced redundancies was welcome, he remained concerned about possible future cuts.”
#Bell and #Bishop have a lot to answer for still, so let there be non let up on shining a light on the ANU Council and the top tier of managers.
