Tämä kiitäjälaji voi lentää yli 100 km tunnissa ja on yksi maailman nopeimmista lintulajeista vaakalennossa (syöksylennossa on muuttohaukka). Sen kuvaaminen ei näin ollen ole helpoimmasta päästä, mutta myöskään petolinnuilla ole juuri mahdollisuuksia saada sitä saaliikseen.

Swift can fly over 100 km per hour and is one of the fastest birds in the world in horizontal flight (the peregrine falcon is in a hunting dive). It is therefore not the easiest to photograph, but also birds of prey have little chance of catching it.
