#Birdhouse (sans birds) in our back yard and setting sun.
Found this little house with its very special door for #Doorsday on a #tree in #Lübeck.
If I were a #bird, I would find this #birdhouse very inviting and cosy and would immediately slip through that #door! 🐦⬛

Birders of the PNW, my partner was gifted this beautiful birdhouse for Christmas. We are trying to determine the best place to put it up for spring. The opening is approx 1 1/2". It has a good quality door for cleaning etc.
I know we should avoid a south facing exposure because of the heat and we want to place it in a way that will dissuade the very large number of outdoor cats in our area, but the only info I've been able to find has been for UK birds.
How high and where should we be looking at placing it? Who might we expect? It has a hanging wire in the center of the roof ridge. Should we hang it from a branch in a tree?
We've only ever been birds in the wild and at the feeder birders. This is new.

Twenty years since his 20-stair lipslide threw him into the limelight with Birdhouse, D-Loy stays true to his roots with a torrent of terrifying stunts.
