We've fed Chickadees on some cold days + they've become very bold: approaching us very keenly to beg for more food. I was privileged over a week or so to see this beautiful #owl ! It's not uncommon for me to see owl pellets or signs of them hunting on the snow (wing marks etc) but I don't often (not even every year) see the actual birds! This one I saw 3 times over a week or so, all the decent shots +vid from one of those times.

I was heading back out into the bush to get my last load of firewood for the day, a few days back, just around sunset on a gloomy day. 1) As I prepared some cereal for #breakfast dessert (i.e. 2nd course 1st was vegetable soup with bagel 1/2 with cheese 1/2 with butter) I poured some water in a bowl, mixed in a spoonful of brown sugar then a splash of cream. this is where the #magic started: the mixing liquids swirled and eddied morphing through various shapes.
