Was pondering what to #DecRecs next, and finally decided to go back to my roots as a fic reccer to rec one of my favorite fics in any fandom Anywhere. It’s an #SVSSS #BingYuan AND #BingQui fic….well series of fics.

The series is called I Just Wanna Be Yours… by chaoticgoodlawyer, and I read it practically monthly, at least the first two fics which could be just one long story. (In fact it’s almost time for my monthly read, but gonna hold off to read canon first). The other fics in the series are mostly AUs of the AU, with further what-ifs.

But the main AU is a time travel fix-it AND wreck it. Basically, System shenanigans make post canon Binghe switch places for 24 hours with his 15 year old self. Binghe proceeds to cause chaos for young SY while Young Binghe gets his eyes throughly opened to the possibilities of the future. That’s the first fic. The second is “ok, the time travel switch was canon, now what do we do to avoid All That Nonsense?” With SY and Binghe teamed up together against…the world. But especially against Yue Qingyuan who also got a bit of a nasty shock and wants His Person back, at all costs. YQY isn’t the *only* antagonist but he is the Main one, so go in with an open mind about his character. It’s not OOC, but it is YQY taken to Extremes.

Anyway, the world-building is cool as hell, SY’s obliviousness remains unsullied, and also he gets ✨Therapy!✨. Mu Qingfan is the real MVP of this & needs a Nap. There’s also cis-dude m-preg, SY tying himself in knots over moral questions, NYY getting to be the Boss Ass Bitch we all know she can be. Just. So. Much to love about this story!! I don’t want to say too much more and spoil all the “omfg what???” Twists and turns this story takes. But trust, they’re not only good for their shock value, they hold up as legitimate twists on re-reads as well! I cannot recommend this enough. Unfortunately it *heavily* relies on a good working knowledge of all of canon, so you absolutely must have read all of SVSSS or you will get a bit lost.

The petition has information about the crackdown, but this AP article also has more info about what is going on. It includes confirmation of what many of us believed to be true that #MXTX was jailed for 3 years for publishing her danmei titles we love so much. Those of us who have found entertainment, relief, comfort, and joy in stories like #TGCF #SVSSS and #MDZS, who have tied our fandom lives to #Hualian and #BingQui and #Moshang and #wangxian must stand behind MXTX and every other danmei author. And we must insist that our supplier deal fairly and support these authors as well. Or else we WILL lose these wonderful stories.
